      رات آنکھوں میں کاٹنے والو شاد رہو آباد رہو
      بارِ ہجر اُٹھانے والو شاد رہو آباد رہو
      کچی عمر میں کل کے دکھوں سے آج اُلجھنا ٹھیک نہیں
      پہلا ساون بھیگنے والو شاد رہو آباد رہو
      اب آئے ہو سارے دئے جب اک اک کر کے بجھ بھی گئے
      لیکن ! لوٹ کے آنے والو شاد رہو آباد رہو
      خانہ بدوشی ایک ہنر ہے رفتہ رفتہ آئے گا
      رنج مسافت کھینچنے والو شاد رہو آباد رہو
      ایک دریچے سے دو آنکھیں روز صدائیں دیتی ہیں
      رات گئے گھر لوٹنے والو شاد رہو آباد رہو
      دیکھو آنکھوں کی ہریالی خواب نہ بن کر رہ جائے
      بات بات پر رونے والو شاد رہو آباد رہو
      ہجر زدوں پہ خود نہیں کھلتا کِس عالم میں رہتے ہیں
      حال ہمارا پوچھنے والو شاد رہو آباد رہو۔
