      جدھر بھی دیکھیں
      مہکتے ہونٹوں کے سرخ گلشن کھِلے ہوئے ہیں
      جہاں بھی جائیں
      حیا کے نشّے سے چوٗر آنکھیں
      دلوں میں گہری اداسیوں کو اُتارتی ہیں
      ہزار گوشے ہیں
      جن سے پاگل بنانے والی
      سیاہ زلفوں کی مست خوشبو اُمڈ رہی ہے
      مگر وہ اک ایسا پیارا چہرہ
      جو ایک رُت کے اداس جھونکے
      کے ساتھ آ کر
      چلا گیا ہے
