Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said. "Vinegar is the best curry. A house in which there is vinegar is not devoid of condiments.” [Tirmidhi]

Vinegar not only tastes great on chips, dresses up a salad and makes glassware sparkle, but it is also a storehouse of important vitamins, minerals, essential amino acids and enzymes and has a host of amazing healing powers.

New research means doctors and scientists are calling it one of the 'functional' foods - foods that are not only nutritious but help prevent and protect against disease.

Vinegar is primarily known to help ease indigestion by stimulating the stomach and intestines, helping them work faster. A tonic of one tablespoon of vinegar mixed in a cup of warm water and sipped slowly will help ease indigestion and bloating. Gargling with hot vinegar helps toothache, relieves pain and benefits the gums. It is is both antiseptic and anti-inflammatory.
It kills bacteria, viruses, fungi and other germs and fights cold and flu.

Red wine vinegar is flavanoid-rich and can help lower your cholesterol levels, which again lessens the risk of heart attacks, strokes and high blood pressure. These are very few benefits of vinegar among many others.
