One of the names of Prophet Muhammad ( peace be upon him) mentioned in the Holy Qur'an is Al-Ahsan i.e. The Most Beautiful. The Best.
In a Hadith narrated by Sayyidina Anas bin Malik(Radiyallahu anhu), the Bed Messenger(peace be upon him) said:
“Allah did not send a Prophet except with a beautiful face and a beautiful voice, and your Prophet is the most beautiful of them in face and voice.” ►[Reported by Imam Tirmidhi]
Almighty Allah appoints only the best of His creation to deliver the Message of Truth to mankind.
The Messenger of Allah(Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) had the most beautiful face, and the best form. He was neither excessively tall nor short.
His face was like the moon when it is full. No one before or after him has been seen like him, and if you were to see him you would say, ‘The sun has risen.’
And when he would speak, a radiant light would be seen emitting from between his teeth.”
His physical description and character have been reported by many of his Companions and he was the most beautiful man ever created.
The companions of the Prophet ( peace be upon him) have passed on a great many detail about him, from the beauty of his external appearance,
his radiance and disposition that left those who beheld him in awe, to his smile, and many other beautiful aspects that Allah had manifested in him. There were a fair number of such companions, and they have given many details of his great beauty. Imam Tirmidhi has recorded the traditions about the physical beauty of Messenger of Allah ( peace be upon him) in the Book of Merits (manaqib).

Hadith #1
Jabir ibn Samura (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) also narrated that he once saw the Prophet(peace be upon him) on a night of full moon wearing a red mantle.
He said: "I began to look at him then at the moon. Verily he seemed to me more beautiful than the moon itself."►(Shama’il Tirmidhi)
Hadith #2
When the Companion Sayyiduna Bar'a (Radiyallahu Ta'ala Anhu) saw a lock of the Prophet(peace be upon him)'s hair resting on his red robe he commented,"I have never seen anyone with a more beautiful lock of hair than his resting on a red robe."

Hadith #3
Ibrahim ibn Muhammad, one of Sayyidina `Ali(Radiyallhu Ta'ala Anhu)'s grandchildren, said:
`Ali would say upon describing the Prophet(peace be upon him): "He was neither immoderately tall nor particularly short.
He was well-proportioned among people. His hair was neither extremely curly nor straight, but slightly waved. He was neither stocky nor plump.
There was roundness in his face. He was fair with redness in his complexion.
His eyes were very black and his eyelashes very long. He had a large back and shoulder-joints. His body was not hairy but he had a line of hair extending
from the chest to below the navel. He had thick-set fingers and toes. When he walked he would lift his feet with vigor, as if walking down a slope.
When he turned towards a person he would turn with his entire body. Between his shoulder- blades was the seal of prophethood,
and he himself is the Seal of Prophets. He was the most generous of people without exception, the most accepting and gracious of manners,
the most truthful in speech, the softest of voice, and the noblest of company. Whoever saw him from a distance stood awed by him, and whoever
shared familiarity with him d him. Whoever described him said: I never saw anyone like him before or after him."► { Jami Tirmidhi , Kitab Al Manakib, Hadith #1572}
Hadith #4
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu said,"I have never seen anyone more handsome than the Messenger of Allah,
it was as though the sun was shining upon his face and when he smiled it reflected from the wall."
