Art in public spaces enriches our lives in various ways, in many places. It can send important messages to the community, make people more aware the environment, and let them see it in a different way. Here is an homage to the artists who create for all to see, and to the photographers who captured it.

German street artist 'Sokar uno' paints a mural which is part of the Urban Nation art project, on a residential building in Berlin Oct. 13.

The sculpture "Manifiesta" made by students of the school nr 4 "Republic of Lebanon" is displayed as part of the Outdoor Exhibition, in Plaza San Martin in Buenos Aires, on Nov. 6. Groups of students from technical and art high schools called "Earth Keepers" worked in sculptures made entirely with plastic wastes. They were guided by artist Edgardo Rodriguez in order to reflect on the impact of the waste generated and to try to convey the message of caring for the planet.

A raven flies over the art installation titled "Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red" at the Tower of London Sept. 19. The evolving art installation will be completed on Nov. 11 to mark the 100th year of the first full day of British involvement in WW1. The work will be comprised of 888,246 ceramic poppies created by ceramic artist Paul Cummins, with setting by stage designer Tom Piper.
